The Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) advocates for federal policies that strengthen chiropractic education, support student success, and ensure a strong future healthcare workforce. Federal higher education, healthcare, and workforce policies directly affect student access, institutional stability, patient access to chiropractic care, and the long-term vitality of the profession.
ACC monitors legislative and regulatory developments affecting chiropractic education and works collaboratively with policymakers, higher education organizations, and professional partners to advance policies that benefit chiropractic institutions, students, and the patients they ultimately serve.
ACC supports H.R. 539, the Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act, bipartisan legislation that would modernize Medicare’s chiropractic benefit by allowing Medicare beneficiaries greater access to the full range of services doctors of chiropractic are licensed and trained to provide.
The legislation would help improve patient access to non-drug approaches to pain management while aligning Medicare coverage more closely with current state scope of practice and the evidence supporting chiropractic care.
