ACC-RAC 2015 is the combination of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) meeting and scientific/educational conference, which emphasizes educational structure, administration, teaching, and peer reviewed presentations, and the Research Agenda Conference (RAC), which focuses on the development of scientific knowledge, skills, and attitudes through workshop sessions. The combination of the two programs continues to enhance and nurture the natural relationship between chiropractic scholarship and education.
Through various styles of presentation, including plenary sessions, platform presentations, workshops, and poster sessions, the 2015 conference will focus on clinical, basic science, educational research, and the topic of Interprofessional Collaboration as it relates to administration, education, research, and clinical practice.
"A collaborative practice-ready health worker is someone who has learned how to work in an interprofessional team and is competent to do so. Collaborative practice happens when multiple health workers from different professional backgrounds work together with patients, families, carers and communities to deliver the highest quality of care....effective interprofessional education enables effective collaborative practice. Collaborative practice strengthens health systems and improves health outcomes." (World Health Organisation, 2010)
Interprofessional Collaboration "The process whereby members of different professions and/or agencies work together to provide integrated health and/or social care for the benefit of service users." (Pollard et al 2005)
